Public meetings set to discuss wolf-livestock conflicts

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) has scheduled three public meetings in northeast Washington this month to discuss wolf-livestock conflict management.

Dirty Dash registration opens

The popular Dirty Dash opened registration today for the 2013 “race” to be held at Riverside State Park on July 13.

Loyalty registration, which runs until Jan. 30, costs only $35. After that the price to sign up steadily rises the closer we get to the event.

“Resolve to make 2013 your dirtiest yet and we guarantee to make that happen for you in one unforgettable morning of feasting on filth, groveling through grime, delighting in dirt, and wallowing in mud rather than self-pity,” a news release from Dirty Dash said.

Start summer with a free visit to a national park!

The National Park Service is waiving all entrance fees on June 21 – the first day of summer.

Additional fee free days in 2011 are National Public Lands Day (Saturday, September 24) and Veterans Day weekend (November 11-13).

More Farm Animals Attacked And Killed Near Tumtum

TUMTUM, Stevens County--

A Tumtum family says a pack of dogs has struck again.

On Thursday night one of their baby goats was killed, another injured and a third is missing. It's the same farm where more than 40 animals were viciously attacked and killed in early April.
