Colville man wins lotto twice in 40 days | News
It’s rare to win the lottery once, but even more unusual to win it twice. But one Colville man has won Washington’s Lottery twice in the last 40 days.
Dennis Campbell, a retired veteran and frequent lotto player, claimed a $200,000 thousand prize playing Washington’s Lottery Big Ol’ Bens Scratch game on February 26th. Seven weeks later luck was on his side again when he won another $50,000 playing the Gem 7’s scratch game.
“I was totally amazed,” said Campbell. “I had gotten that ticket before, and won $500 and $1,000. I started thinking, ‘what did I do that was so lucky today?’”
Campbell has used his prize money to pay off his house, buy a new car and donate to his church. He also wanted to treat his seven-year-old son.
“I have already bought him a Polaris ATV,” said Campbell. “Next, I am going to buy the four acres of land next to my property so he can it ride all around!”
