Family Support Center offering free training events | Events
The Family Support Center, a program of Rural Resources, is hosting two free training events to help keep your family safe. The first event will look at how to protect yourself from cyber crime and the second will teach families how to prevent and recognize sexual abuse.
Identity Theft Prevention-Wednesday, November 13th, 6pm-7:30pm
Think shredding is enough? Think again! Think if you’re not on the computer you must be safe? Think again! This training teaches four timeless principles that help protect your identity both online and offline. Stop cyber crime in your community! Become a cyber safety trainer! During this 1.5 hour class, you will also receive the training to become a community trainer! Together we can prevent identity theft! Free training & support materials. Stewards of Children, Child Sexual Abuse Prevention- Wednesday, November 20th, 5:30pm-8:30pm
1 in 10 children are sexually abused by their 18th birthday. You can prevent it. Learn how. Stewards of Children is an evidence-based child sexual abuse prevention training. Adults only, please. Snacks provided. Bring dinner if desired. Provided by Family Support Center, a program of Rural Resources. Free of charge thanks to a grant from Providence Health Care Stevens County.
