Forbes has listed Washington as one of the top 10 Best States for Business for 2013. The Evergreen State came in at number nine on the annual list, that's two spots higher than the number 11 place the state was given in 2012.
In it's eighth year the study ranks the top 25 states based on costs, labor supply, regulatory environment, current economic climate, growth prospects and quality of life. Washington's ninth place was due in part to the large companies that are based here. The success of companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Nordstrom, Starbucks, Boeing and Costco has left investors wanting more.
