Suspicious Letter sent to McMorris-Rodgers office |

Colville police said a suspicious letter sent to Representative Cathy McMorris-Rodgers office in Colville turned out to be nothing but a letter threatening her staff.

Police said the office received a letter Friday morning and thought it contained a suspicious substance. Officers said employees called 911 and evacuated the building while the fire department investigated.

When officers looked at the letter they found it did not contain a questionable substance but did contain threats against the representative and her staff, according to police. 

Investigators said McMorris' staff was allowed back into the building around noon.
